Font Management
At Hill County Printing, we have an expansive font library, but we might not have the same version of your font. Also, if the font is exclusive enough, we might not have it. To prevent unexpected results, we recommend you include your font files when you hand over your design work.
To locate a specific font, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to C:\Windows\Fonts
- Scroll through the list of fonts until you find the font you used in your project.
- Right click on the font and paste it to a USB drive or flash card or a location you can attach it to an email from, such as your Documents or Downloads folders.
- Email us the font or drop the USB device off.
How to Give Us Files
There are several ways you can send us your image files:
- Email the files to our business account at: hillcountyprinting@itstriangle.com.
- Load them on a USB flash drive or external hard disk and deliver it to us.
- Save the files to a flash card and drop them off.
- Services like Dropbox or Google Drive can be employed to electronically send files.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or contact us through our website. We can work out a way to get your files to us.
Creating PDF Files
A good way to preserve your exact design and layout is to save your documents in the PDF format. This maintains the precise setup of you document in a single document, without the need for external resources.
Most modern software can save to a PDF format. The easiest method is to use the "Save As" option in your application and see if there is an option to output as a PDF file.
If you can't save your file as a PDF, you can download a free PDF converter like Cute PDF.
• Download the Cute PDF Converter
Once you've downloaded the file, follow the installation instructions and peruse the product documentation to convert your project into a PDF.
Ordering Print Jobs
To order a new print job, you can contact us by phone, our website's contact form, or send a message to our business email address. Provide an overview of what you need, and we will get back with you ASAP to hammer out the finer details.
No job is too big or too small for Hill County Printing - remember - "If It Has Printing On It, We Can Do It!"
Re-Ordering Existing Jobs
At Hill County Printing, we make it incredibly easy to re-order existing jobs. Simply go to our re-order form and follow the step-by-step instructions to let us know which job to re-print.
Proofing Projects
At Hill County Printing, we typically provide digital proofs of the projects. Usually, we email them to the customer for approval or possible changes. If someone wants to see physical copy of the design, they are free to come to the store and preview the job personally.
Scanning Media
If you have photos, documents or artwork you need scanned, we have you covered. Currently, we can scan up to 11x17 documents in full color.
Saddle Stitch Books
Saddle stitching is a very cost-effective way to make small booklets to promote an event or provide information about your business. However, there are some limitations you need to consider when selecting this format:
- Your page count must be divisible by 4. For example, the document must have 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, etc., pages. You can use large images, "Notes" pages with horizontal rules, or even blank pages to get your page count right. (This is necessary because saddle stitched books are printed on large pieces of paper which are then folded in half and nested).
- A saddle stich booklet can be a maximum of 64 pages (16 sheets). Any larger and we will need to perfect bind the book.
